MESSAGE TO PARENTS:

In the 21st century, we must realize that students will be entering a highly competitive world where they must have strong basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics; they must be able to communicate effectively and they must possess the necessary interpersonal, problem-solving, and technological skills in order to be successful. Students must also be prepared to remain life long learners. A significant percentage of future jobs will require additional training after high school whether it be in technical schools, community colleges, or a four-year university. It is imperative that our students recognize the importance of PLANNINGand preparing NOW for their future.
The La Feria Independent School District is committed to our students by helping them become productive, contributing, and successful members of our community.

Bullying Awareness

BULLYING AWARENESS

Stop Bullying sign

WHAT IS BULLYING?

Bulling can be a lot of things. It is hitting, pushing, name calling, teasing, threatening, sending mean emails, , taking or ruining another person’s things, leaving someone out—and other nasty things.

HOW CAN YOU TELL IF SOMETHING IS BULLYING?

Just remember this
It’s bullying if …someone is hurting another person on purpose.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO PROTECT YOURSELF?

Do not give a bully what they want.
They want to make someone scared and/or upset.
Don’t react to them.
Instead of acting upset, you can do something unexpected, such as laughing at them and walking away.
Also, you can hold your head high and say, “NO! Leave me alone!”, in a strong voice.
But most importantly, TELL AN ADULT about what’s going on.
Don’t wait, tell immediately!
Bullying will not be tolerated!
